The Kenya Water Security and Climate Resilience Program is helping improve flood mitigation structures in Busia and Siaya counties which have experience perennial floods for decades. Up to 70,000 people have to flee their homes annually, lose income, and risk their health. Improving the structures of the dykes is helping prevent flooding, improving irrigation of farms, protecting livelihoods and communities.
