INFO:
In Slovenia, townsfolk travel to the island on Lake Bled for their Easter bread, called potica. Potica is a log of sweet bread filled with a paste of walnuts and honey, chopped almonds, and fruit. This holiday treat, much loved by Slovenes, represents Jesus’ Crown of Thorns, and is eaten for Easter brunch. (Rick Steves' Europe, Season 10, Episode 7: European Festivals II, 2015)
